Custom Muscle Work That Targets the Source, Not Just the Symptoms

Radiant skin and tension-free muscles (without the tell-tale cupping marks) are only a session away. Our Facial Cupping treatment at Fellows Massage & Wellness uses feather-light silicone cups to lift, glide, and gently stimulate circulation along your cheeks, jawline, and forehead, flushing away Texas-heat puffiness, allergy congestion, and day-to-day jaw clenching. In just 30–90 minutes you’ll leave with a fresh “post-run” glow, looser facial muscles, and a calm nervous system that sets you up for deeper sleep.  Perfect for San Antonio’s athletes, first-responders, busy professionals, and moms-to-be alike. Benefits you'll notice after facial cupping

  • Brighter, more even skin tone and “post-workout” glow
  • Softer fine lines and early wrinkles as collagen activity increases
  • Reduced morning or post-flight puffiness around eyes and cheeks
  • Looser fascia along the jaw, easing headaches linked to clenching
  • Faster recovery from mild acne or razor irritation thanks to improved circulation
  • Overall nervous-system calm.  Perfect before PT tests, ER shifts, or high-stakes meetings

What skin or wellness concerns can facial cupping address?

Face & jaw tension / TMJ discomfort- Gentle suction lifts the fascia and floods the masseter and temporalis muscles with oxygen-rich blood, relaxing trigger points that drive clenching pain. Clients often feel their bite “let go” within minutes.

Sinus congestion and allergy puffiness- Light, rhythmic glides act like a manual lymph-pump, moving trapped fluid away from the maxillary and frontal sinuses. This can ease pressure headaches and the cedar-pollen puffiness so common in San Antonio’s spring.

Dull or “tired” complexion after night shifts or deployments- Micro-vacuum suction boosts surface circulation, delivering fresh nutrients and giving skin the same pink “post-run” glow.  Ideal for nurses, first-responders, and military personnel working odd hours.

Mild acne scarring or uneven texture- Repeated sessions stimulate fibroblasts (the cells that lay down new collagen) helping soften shallow scars and smooth rough patches without harsh chemicals or downtime.

Early fine lines, especially around eyes and mouth- By drawing nutrients to the dermis and encouraging collagen remodeling, facial cupping plumps the skin from beneath, softening expression lines that deepen in our hot, sun-intense climate.

Headache related to temple tightness -Releasing fascia at the temples, brows, and scalp reduces muscle contraction and vascular tension, common triggers behind stress or dehydration headaches after Hill Country hikes.

Post-surgical or post-dental swelling (with physician clearance)- Very light suction accelerates lymph return around cheeks and jaw, helping edema resolve more quickly and improving tissue pliability for smoother scar healing.

Stress, anxiety, and poor sleep quality- Any facial massage activates the parasympathetic (“rest-and-digest”) response, lowering cortisol and encouraging melatonin release.  Perfect after high-pressure shifts or PT tests.

Testimonials

If massage therapists are the unsung heroes of stress relief, then Bethany is a superhero! Not only am I freed from aches and pains, I also get a tremendous mood boost and a reduction in stress. Bethany and her team of massage therapists are the best in San Antonio!

-Sabine W.

Had my first ever massage session with Tommi, and I couldn’t have chosen better. She’s very attentive and easy to chat with. Also the studio was clean and comfortable. Tommi was able to really go after my upper back and shoulders, nearly eliminating all my soreness from stress and bad desk posture. I’ll definitely be back for more sessions.

-Steve S.

I've been a client of Bethany's for 4 years. As a competitor (bodybuilding) I see her routinely for the sports massage with cupping. Bethany is amazing and definitely understands an athlete's unique needs when it comes to massage therapy and muscle recovery. If you are an athlete of any kind I Highly recommend!!!

Why Try facial cupping in San Antonio’s heat and high-allergy seasons?

Our city’s triple-digit summers, cedar pollen, and year-round outdoor training all tax the skin. A short series of facial-cupping sessions can:

  • Deflate heat-induced puffiness by promoting lymph flow and fluid drainage.
  • Soothe allergy-related sinus pressure—gentle suction over the maxillary and frontal sinuses helps relieve stuffiness.
  • Counter sun-and-wind dehydration common on River Walk runs or Hill Country hikes by pulling fresh, nutrient-rich blood to the surface.
  • Relax jaw & temple tension for the many military, first-responder, and desk-bound clients who struggle with clenching or TMJ pain.
  • Refresh a tired complexion for nurses and night-shift pros whose circadian rhythm and cortisol spikes dull the skin.

FAQs for Facial Cupping

  • Does facial cupping hurt or leave bruises?

No. We use soft silicone cups and light glide techniques; most clients describe a gentle pulling sensation and leave with a healthy pink flush, not dark marks.

  • How many sessions will I need for visible results?

A single treatment boosts circulation immediately. For longer-lasting collagen effects, we suggest 4–6 weekly sessions, then monthly maintenance.

  • Can I work out or return to duty right after?

Absolutely. Unlike deep body cupping, facial cupping involves minimal downtime, ideal for military PT tests or hospital shifts. Just keep skin clean and hydrated for 12 hours.

  • I have fillers or Botox. Can I still book?

Wait a minimum of two weeks after injectables so the product can settle. Then we’ll adapt suction paths to avoid treated areas.
